Brahim attended the Oleander Initiative in Hiroshima, Japan during August, 2016

In Hiroshima, Brahim designed educational projects that transmitted the “lessons of Hiroshima” to his students in Tiznit, Morocco.

Brahim applied what he learned in Hiroshima as soon as he returned to his classroom in Tiznit.

He taught his students about the terrible humanitarian consequences of nuclear weapons and led a peace crane educational activity.

Students learned how to fold origami paper cranes and read the story of Sadako and the 1,000 Paper cranes

The tremendous reception from his students inspired Brahim to go to Ifrane and Tafraoute, two nearby Moroccan towns and implement his Oleander inspired lesson plan.

Brahim’s students created over 500 paper cranes

These cranes will be added to the cranes at the Sadako Sasaki Memorial Statue in Hiroshima in February, 2017
